Ken Letherwood has been practicing law for more than 30 years. After graduating from the University of Detroit Mercy Law School in 1983, he began his career at Kaufman, Payton in Farmington Hills, where he worked his way up from intern to partner. In 1994, he left for CAN, a national property and casualty insurance company, where he remained for 12 years as staff council. Ken was selected as one of the seventeen national counsel to handle high-exposure cases for the developmental disability program.
From 2006-2012, he served as a Defense Attorney for Willingham & Cote, based in East Lansing, Michigan. Ken then changed sides joining a well-known plaintiff firm, Fieger Law. In 2014, Ken returned to the defense side. His experience as a defense attorney and as a plaintiff attorney gives Ken a powerful perspective and helps him build strong cases for his clients, as well as, a sharp focus on dispute resolution.
Ken has served for 30 years as a case evaluator and mediator. He focuses on transportation, motor vehicle accidents, medical malpractice and legal malpractice. Ken is also asked to serve as a facilitator on a regular basis.
When he is not hard at work fighting for his clients, Ken enjoys attending sporting events and traveling.
