Michael J. Jolet

Mike Jolet is the President and Co-Managing Partner of Hewson & VanHellemont, P.C., where he brings over two decades of experience in civil defense litigation. Since earning his Bachelor of Arts in History from Wayne State University in 2000, and his Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in 2004, where he was honored as a member of the prestigious Frank Murphy Honor Society, recognizing the top 10% of his class, Mike has built a distinguished career defending insurance carriers, corporations, and individuals in complex civil matters.

He has successfully litigated thousands of cases, including numerous jury trials, over his more than 20 years of legal experience. His trial expertise and commitment to excellence have earned him membership in the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), a nationally respected organization of experienced trial attorneys that is regarded as the premier trial organization advocating for the right to trial by jury under the 7th Amendment, defending the independence of the judiciary, and upholding the Rule of Law.
