Lisa Janeczek has specialized in insurance defense litigation for the past 20 years. She has handled well over a thousand cases involving complex litigation in the areas of automobile negligence, personal protection insurance and premises liability. Lisa is both passionate and professional as she diligently and aggressively defends clients. Lisa is frequently appointed by her professional peers as an arbitrator and to the trusted position of Guardian Ad Litem by the Probate Court. She has been a member of the Defense Research Institute, Women Lawyers Association of Michigan, and State Bar of Michigan Negligence Law Section since 1995. She has successfully tried cases throughout Metro Detroit and the surrounding area, and on all but a single occasion, has obtained a verdict of no cause of action for her client. She has practiced in Oakland, Wayne, Macomb, Washtenaw, Genesee, Livingston, Ingham, Monroe, Jackson, and Lenawee counties. She has successfully brought to resolution numerous cases through summary disposition in favor of her clients without the cost or the risk associated with trial.
Lisa knew from an early age that she wanted to be an attorney, inspired by her family’s acceptance of more than 70 foster care children into her family’s home. Her family adopted four children. It was through this background that she had her first experience with legal professionals and the Court and determined that she would become an attorney and advocate. She completed her Bachelor’s degree from Alma College a year ahead of her peers and in the top 10% of her class. Lisa obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in 1995.
