Amber L. Girbach

Amber Girbach graduated from Central Michigan University cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in 2006. Ms. Girbach went on to obtain her Juris Doctorate from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2009. While attending Loyola, she concentrated her studies on trial and appellate advocacy competing in both national and international competitions as a Mayer Brown International Arbitration Moot Fellow and Moot Court Team member. Ms. Girbach also received CALI Awards for the highest grade in Advocacy Legal Writing and Evidence.

Ms. Girbach was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in 2009 and is a member of the Michigan Defense Trial Counsel (MDTC). She initially worked as an Assistant Public Defender at the Washtenaw County Office of Public Defender gaining significant trial and courtroom experience. Prior to joining Hewson and Van Hellemont, P.C. in 2013, she was an Associate Attorney at a personal injury law firm where her practice focused on complex medical malpractice litigation. In 2016 Amber received the MDTC Young Lawyers’ Golden Gavel Award.
