Luke Barbrick

Luke Barbrick completed his Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Politics Cum Laude at Hillsdale College in 2019. As an undergraduate, Luke worked as a Congressional intern at the United States Senate and as a student research assistant, during which he helped complete the official biography on Sir Winston Churchill. He earned his Juris Doctor from the Michigan State University College of Law in 2023 with a focus in litigation. As a law student, Luke also served as managing editor of the Michigan State International Law Review and a student litigator in the Geoffrey Trial Practice Institute and received a prestigious Legal Fellowship at the Lynde & Harry Bradely Foundation in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Before joining Hewson & Van Hellemont as an Associate, Luke clerked at the Michigan Supreme Court for Justice David Viviano. He also worked as a research attorney at the Michigan Court of Appeals. Luke is a member of the Michigan Bar and serves as a notary public for his home county of Kent.

In addition to law, Luke harbors a fervent passion for history and public service, which he actively pursues through his volunteer work at his hometown’s historical society and community assistance center.
