Austin Foos

Austin Foos is an associate at Hewson & Van Hellemont.  His practice focuses on insurance defense involving Property & Casualty and Workers’ Compensation.

Austin completed his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in 2019.  He earned his Juris Doctor from the Wayne State University Law School in 2023 and was admitted to the Michigan Bar in 2024.

Prior to joining Hewson & Van Hellemont, Austin gained experience as a law clerk at a prominent Detroit area personal injury law firm focused on No-Fault Litigation.  He also served as a clerk for the Macomb County Prosecutor’s office.  In addition, Austin participated in the Legal Advocacy for People with Cancer Clinic, providing crucial assistance with Estate Planning and end-of-life matters
