Charles H. Pletscher attended Michigan State University and graduated cum laude with a B.S. in Political Theory and Constitutional Democracy in 2008. Mr. Pletscher then attended Thomas M. Cooley Law School and graduated cum laude with a Juris Doctorate in 2011. He served as an Associate Editor on Law Review and participated in Moot Court and Mock Trial competitions.

He received Certificates of Merit in Scholarly Writing and Pretrial Skills. Additionally, his article “ObamaCare: Unconstitutional or Unrepublican” was recently published by “The Student Appeal”. Mr. Pletscher was admitted in 2011 and is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and Oakland County Bar Association.

Charles joined Hewson & Van Hellemont, P.C. in 2012 and primarily focuses his area of practice on dealing with insurance defense, specifically for first- and third-party benefits under the Michigan No-Fault Act. Prior to joining the firm, Charles clerked for the Honorable William Crane at the 10th Circuit Court in Saginaw, Michigan.
